New City,

When somebody says they are “going there,” they usually mean they are about to step out on a limb and say something. New City is a church unafraid to step out on a limb. We are a church willing to go there.

Jesus said our mission is like a shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to reach the one. He was all about the one who was lost.

He sent us out on a mission with the command to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...” We call this The Great Commission because it is our primary mission.

New City is a church that believes in the power of Jesus to make everything new. We are committed to courageously go wherever He calls us. Jesus was willing to go there for us, and He has called us to go there for the one.

Over the next three years, our clear and simple focus is to invite everyone who calls New City home to Go There for the One.

I am so glad to be on this mission with you!

Blessings,
Nate Bush
Lead Pastor

Luke 15:1–4

15 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. 2 And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”

3 So he told them this parable: 4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it?

Matthew 28:18–20

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Primary Goal: 100 Percent Participation

We are asking everyone who calls New City home to say “yes” to
going there for their one.

Go there for the one in the city.

Going there may be an act of courage. Saying “yes” might mean speaking about Jesus with a friend for the first time. It may be experiencing a vulnerability you have never felt before. Jesus has called us to this, and we are trusting Him in obedience together.

Go there for the one in the nations.

Jesus called us to make disciples of all nations. Over the next three years, we want everyone who calls New City their home to Go There for the nations, whether here in New Mexico or with one of our global mission partners.

Go there for the one at New City.

As all of New City says “yes” to reaching their one, we anticipate that ones will be attending our gatherings and utilizing our building. We want the facilities and the people of New City to reflect our anticipation that people far fromGod are with us. We want all of our ones to feel loved and welcomed by New City.

Secondary Goals: $4 Million over the next three years

We believe the Great Commission is the mission and the heartof God is for the one. God is calling New City Church to fundthe mission as we Go There for the One

Go there for the one in the city. $500,000

We want our city to be the best place to live, work, and play. As a church, we share the calling to care for the children, students, and families in our city. This is why we started Shine Partnership and Ciudad de Gracia. This initiative will increase our investment in what we have begun in our city.

Go there for the one in the nations. $500,000

We want every adult, student, and child to have the opportunity to Go There on a mission trip. Through this initiative, we will further develop our local and global impact among the nations, at home and globally. We will focus on the International District, Native American ministries, and global partnerships.

Go there for the one at New City. $3,000,000

This is our total operational budget over three years with a four percent annual increase. This includes the impact we are currently making, adding new staff hires, an outdoor patio, and a sports court to better reach our community. We will also replenish our cash reserves to prepare for New City’s future.

Go There Commitment Card

We are asking you to pray, “Lord, in light of the current vision of New City Church, what would you have me/us give?”
